4. Any additional information provided at point of ticket purchase (e.g. experience level, company type)
How We Use Your Information:
We will use the information that we collect about you for the following purposes:
1. Administering and delivering the event you have registered for
2. Sending you event updates, logistics information, and post-event communications
3. Informing you about future Performance MCR events
4. Sharing with event sponsors (see below)
5. Internal analysis to improve future events
If we want to use your information for any other purpose, we will ask you for consent and will use your information only on receiving your consent and then, only for the purpose(s) for which grant consent unless we are required to do otherwise by law.
Lawful Basis for Processing:
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases:
- Contract: to administer your ticket and deliver the event.
- Legitimate interests: to contact you about future Performance MCR events.
- Consent: to share your registration details with confirmed Performance MCR event sponsors, where you have explicitly indicated your agreement at the point of ticket purchase.
- Consent: for any additional marketing purposes where we have explicitly asked for your agreement.
How We Share Your Information:
As part of our event sponsorship model, we share attendee registration data — including name, job title, company name, and email address — with confirmed Performance MCR event sponsors. A current list of sponsors is available on our website at performancemcr.com/sponsors. Sponsors receive this data for the purpose of post-event outreach only and are required to handle it in compliance with relevant UK privacy regulations and applicable law.
Sponsors must not pass your data to third parties or retain it beyond 12 months following the event.
We also work with the following categories of third party for operational purposes: ticketing platforms, email marketing platforms, and website analytics providers. These parties act as data processors and only handle your data as instructed by us.
We require such third party’s to use the personal information we transfer to them only for the purpose for which it was transferred and not to retain it for longer than is required for fulfilling the said purpose.
We may also disclose your personal information for the following: (1) to comply with applicable law, regulation, court order or other legal process; (2) to enforce your agreements with us, including this Privacy Policy; or (3) to respond to claims that your use of the Service violates any third-party rights. If the Service or our company is merged or acquired with another company, your information will be one of the assets that is transferred to the new owner.
Retention Of Your Information:
We will retain your personal information for up to two years following the event you attended, after which it will be securely deleted unless you have opted in to ongoing communications from Performance MCR. Data shared with sponsors will be subject to their own retention policies; sponsors are contractually required to delete attendee data within 12 months of the event.
Your Rights:
Depending on the law that applies, you may have a right to access and rectify or erase your personal data or receive a copy of your personal data, restrict or object to the active processing of your data, ask us to share (port) your personal information to another entity, withdraw any consent you provided to us to process your data, a right to lodge a complaint with a statutory authority and such other rights as may be relevant under applicable laws. To exercise these rights, you can write to us at hello@performancemcr.com. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable law.
Where we have shared your data with sponsors on the basis of legitimate interest or consent, you have the right to object to or withdraw consent for that sharing by contacting us at hello@performancemcr.com. Please note that we are unable to retrieve data already shared with sponsors prior to your request, but we can notify the relevant sponsor of your withdrawal.
You may opt-out of direct marketing communications or the profiling we carry out for marketing purposes by writing to us at hello@performancemcr.com.
Do note that if you do not allow us to collect or process the required personal information or withdraw the consent to process the same for the required purposes, you may not be able to access or use the services for which your information was sought.
