Performance MCR is built on community, respect, and making performance marketing more welcoming and accessible for everyone. We want every attendee, speaker, sponsor, and volunteer to feel safe and valued. By attending, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
1. Respect Each Other
- Treat all attendees, speakers, staff, and venue employees with courtesy.
- Debate ideas, not people. Disagreement is fine, but rudeness, hostility, or personal attacks are not.
2. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, including but not limited to:
- Offensive comments or behaviour related to gender, sexuality, race, religion, disability, or background.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or unwanted following.
- Harassing photography or recording.
- Unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention.
3. Inclusivity & Accessibility
- Be mindful of how you engage – give space for new voices and perspectives.
- Respect accessibility needs and avoid blocking routes, seating, or facilities.
- Use respectful and inclusive language in talks, conversations, and online discussions.
4. Sponsors & Sales
- Sponsors are here to add value, not hard sell. Aggressive selling, spammy behaviour, or misrepresentation won’t be tolerated.
- Speakers are expected to stick to agreed guidelines (no sales pitches, genuine case studies only).
5. Alcohol & Social Events
- Drink responsibly at fringe events and afterparties. Anyone causing a disturbance or making others feel unsafe will be removed without refund.
6. Reporting Issues
- If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please speak immediately to a member of the Performance MCR team (look for staff badges or at the registration desk), or email hello@performancemcr.com.
- We will take every report seriously and act promptly, with confidentiality where possible.
7. Consequences
- Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.
- The organisers may take any action deemed necessary, including warnings, removal without refund, or banning from future events.
Our Commitment
Performance MCR is here to lift people up, not shut them down. We are committed to providing a harassment-free, supportive environment for everyone, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, physical appearance, race, religion, or background.
